The Virginia Governor’s Trip will Culminate in Delivering the Keynote Speech at the MIGOP State Convention
Grand Rapids, MI – Today, the MIGOP announced that Virginia Governor Glenn Youngkin will travel to Michigan to campaign for Tudor Dixon and give the keynote speech at the MIGOP State Convention.
“Governor Youngkin’s victory in Virginia demonstrated the political power of parents who want to be involved in ensuring their children get a great education.” Tudor Dixon said.
“He also understood the economic challenges facing families and the need for safe communities. I am honored for him to join me and help create a family-friendly Michigan.”
“Last year in Virginia, we listened to voters and they told us in overwhelming numbers that they needed to be empowered in the education of their children. And as Tudor has witnessed across her own state, parents matter. Tudor knows that every parent has a fundamental right to their child’s education and upbringing. Every child in America deserves the best education possible and is prepared for the next chapter in life. I know that she will stand up for parents in Michigan and that’s why she will win this fall.”
“We are excited to welcome Governor Youngkin to Michigan to rally the troops and kick-off our general election campaign to restore competent leadership to Lansing,” said MIGOP Chair Ambassador Ron Weiser. “Governor Youngkin’s victory last year in Virginia demonstrated the political power of parents and underscored the voters’ desire for experienced business leaders who will govern with fiscally conservative economic policies.”
