MIGOP Releases Video and Statement on Another Early Budget
LANSING, Mich., June 30, 2014 – In response to Governor Snyder signing the new FY 2014-15 budget today, the Michigan Republican Party created the following video. Michigan GOP Chairman Bobby Schostak also issued the following statement:
“Governor Snyder and our Republican-led Legislature strive to provide our families, businesses and schools with the confidence and stability they need in order to plan ahead, and this new budget solidifies their commitment. Every budget that has arrived on Governor Snyder’s desk has been balanced and signed ahead of schedule, which is just one of the many positive changes made since putting an end to Jennifer Granholm and Mark Schauer’s Lost Decade.
“We can also be proud that Governor Snyder continues to make our children’s future a top priority. Governor Snyder has increased education spending to $15.8 billion, the highest level in Michigan's history and an increase of more than $1 billion since taking office. Republican policies are making Michigan America’s Comeback State, starting with the restoration of responsible government that we’re seeing today.”
