Schostak: Dems will regret siding with Clinton over families

LANSING, Mich., Oct. 16, 2014 – With Democrats’ momentum fizzling out less than three weeks until Election Day, Mark Schauer and Gary Peters called on ex-Secretary of State Hillary Clinton for back-up. Commenting on their desire to stand with the controversial Clinton, Michigan Republican Party Chairman Bobby Schostak issued the following statement:

“Mark Schauer and Gary Peters have proven how out-of-touch they are by campaigning with the single-most polarizing politician in America: Obama’s failed Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton. The presumed presidential candidate they chose to align themselves with today is the same Democrat who called her millionaire family ‘dead broke’ when leaving the White House, who charges six-figures in order to speak at universities despite rising student debt, and who has not driven a car since 1996. Not to mention, this is the same Secretary of State who presided over the Benghazi terror attack that killed four Americans at our embassy, and could not name a major accomplishment in that role.

“Mark Schauer and Gary Peters ought to be ashamed they stood with leading liberal Hillary Clinton today. If they truly had Michigan interests at the heart of their agendas, they would know she is the worst kind of Democrat to bring to this state. What we are seeing from Governor Rick Snyder, Terri Lynn Land and Michigan’s Comeback Team are policies that have moved us forward on the path toward recovery. As Republicans forge ahead, Democrats will look back on today and regret they sided with the out-of-touch Hillary Clinton over Michigan families.”
